ginger tahini dressing for salads

This dressing is an excellent addition to salads and veggie platters. It’s creamy with the earthy and nuttiness of tahini - accentuated by the ginger and lime. It’s great for vegans and post-menopausal women worried about their calcium intake as tahini is a good source of calcium.

 

ingredients

makes enough for 1 large salad

 

3 tablespoons of tahini
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon grated ginger
juice of 1 lime

method

 
  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine.

Tahini is made from sesame seeds which are an excellent source of copper, a very good source of manganese, and a good source of magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, molybdenum, and selenium.
